Gladys Tynetta Black

Gladys Tynetta Black, 76, known to her friends and family as Tiny of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Friday, August 10, 2018, at her home.
 
Tiny was born February 24, 1942, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Theodore, Sr. and Myrtle (Robedeaux) Black. Tiny attended school in Red Rock, Oklahoma and later moved to California where she graduated from high school. She later moved to Nevada where she worked as a dental assistant and later as a Black Jack dealer for many years. In the 1970’s, Tiny returned to Oklahoma moving to Oklahoma City where she has continued to reside.
 
Tiny loved playing bingo as well as watching television. She loved attending the tribal Pow-wows as well as participated in many throughout the years. Tiny loved to cook and was known for her excellent food. She is described as a very jovial person who loved to laugh and make others feel good about themselves.
 
Survivors are her three sons Little Chief Eugene Parris, Truman Hackman, Leroy Hackman, daughter Lili Switch, brother Dennis Black, sisters Phoebe Black-Miller, Diane Thompson, Patricia Hill, Joann Black, Georgette Atkins as well as numerous friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Tiny was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Ramona Dianne Hurst, sisters Regina Bassett-Andrews, Audrey Black, brothers Ted Black, Jr. and Truman Black.
 
Visitation will be held Wednesday 12:00 pm till 7:00 pm August 15th at the Poteet Funeral Home in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Prayer services will be on Thursday evening at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cultural Building and Friday traditional feast will be served at 12:00 p.m. August 17th at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cultural Building.
