Andrew Adson

Andrew Adson was born in the spring of 1933 at home to Stella and Bryan Adson in Coal Mine, Arizona in the Many Goats for the Salt Clan of the Dineh Nation.  Andrew attended Indian Boarding Schools at Sherman Institute and graduated at Ft. Sill Indian School.  He excelled in basketball, football and was All State in Track

.Andrew worked at Disneyland for 40-years of service and retired to Maramec, Oklahoma.  In his leisure time he enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sports activities, singing with his children, grandchildren, friends, and relatives at the big drum, any televised sports, playing golf (winning the first Pawnee Indian Golf Tournament), Wednesday chili days at the Pawnee Nation Post, penny machines, and road trips.

He departed this life on April 2, 2016 in the comforts of his home surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond Adson and Eddie Adson, and sister Arlene Adson-Begay.  He is survived by brothers Ted Adson, George Adson, Herman Adson, and Marvin Gazwarza.  He leaves his wife of 60-years Georgia Mae Adson;  Herb and Kim Adson,  Frank and Rozina Adson;  Charlsi (Sammye) Adson, and Stella and Allen Ray Moore;  his beloved grandchildren Steve Campos, Jason Campos, Bryan Joe Adson, Angela Lieb, Jordan Moore, Taylor Moore, Candice Wahpepah, Aaron Adson, Bob Adson, Amanda Mae Dunbar, and Lacey Adson and his great-grandchildren Jacie Adson, Aaron Joe Lieb, Connor Lieb, Charlsi Lieb, Aven Moore, Ben Wahpepah, Brandon Wahpepah,  Destiny Dunbar, Rambo Dunbar, Carsyn Dunbar, DiEtte Standing Rock, Kimo Corcoran, and Sashay Standing Rock all of Pawnee;  a host of nieces, nephews, and many adopted children, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

  Andrew attended Pawnee Baptist Church and the Pawnee Chapter Native American Church Pastor Kyle Taylor were in charge of his funeral service held on Tuesday, April 5th  followed immediately by his internment at the Pawnee Indian North Cemetery.
