Darrell Elbert Berg, 85, passed from this life March 27th 2023. He was born in Skedee Oklahoma on July 3rd, 1937, to Welton and Doris Berg.

Darrell grew up in Pawnee County and graduated from Blackburn High School. In September of 1956 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was proud to serve his country as an aircraft electrician at Hickam AFB in Honolulu Hawaii. He was honorably discharged in September 1959.

He met Donna Sue Layton and they were married on December 29th, 1964. From that marriage two children were born, a daughter, Ellen, and son, Gordon (Buck). They raised their family in Meeker Oklahoma. He loved his family and enjoyed watching his five granddaughters and six great grandchildren growing up.

Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his kids and their families. His favorite was working on his John Deere tractor. He loved showing off pictures and talking to everyone about it. He also enjoyed entering it at the Steam Engine Tractor Show in Pawnee.

He is survived by his daughter Ellen Cox and husband Terry of Fort Worth Texas, his son Gordon (Buck) Berg and wife Samantha of Pawnee Oklahoma, granddaughters Amanda Nanzt and husband Ralph of Yukon Oklahoma, Christina Norman and husband Dustin of Yukon Oklahoma, Kayla James of Cleburne Texas, Frances Berg of Denver Colorado, and Tabbi Berg of Pawnee Oklahoma. Great Grandchildren Alyvia, MaKayla, and Chloye Guerrero of Yukon Oklahoma, Konor and Kinsler Norman of Yukon Oklahoma, and Alice Willis of Cleburne Texas, cousins, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents Welton and Doris Berg, brother William Berg, and grandson-in-law Chance Johnson
