Delbert Loyd Duff

Delbert Loyd Duff was born on October 17, 1941 in Maramec, Oklahoma to Cecil Edward Duff and Vietta (Hallett) Duff. He passed away on January 27, 2023 in Stillwater, Oklahoma with his family by his side. He attended school at Maramec Schools for 11 years graduating from Quay Schools after Maramec lost its school. After graduation he became a painter then went to work in the oilfield. He later worked for Gearhart Oil Company in Enid, Oklahoma and in Texas. He married Patricia Horton and they had three children: Ira, Robin, and Rosetta, they divorced later. Delbert lived and worked in Pagosa Springs, Colorado for a number of years, before returning to Oklahoma. In Oklahoma he married Johnye Grimes and they made their home in Cleveland, Oklahoma and later in Dennison, Texas. They enjoyed traveling in their Airstream, going to rallies, playing cards and dancing with friends, they enjoyed their beloved pet dog “Peanut”. Delbert was always teasing everyone he met, as a practical joker- it almost back fired a couple of times. He also loved riding his motorcycle. Delbert is survived by his daughter, Rosetta Lynn Duff Eckhardt of Cody, Wyoming, grandchildren; Gunner Kirk Eckhardt, Dena Rosetta Eckhardt, two great granddaughters; Stormi Rose Swope and Dusti Layne Swope, sister, Norma Duff Lyon of Pawnee, Oklahoma and her children, Chris, Mark, and Jon McAlister, Debbie McClellan and children and grandchildren. sister, Joyceline Duff of Cushing, Oklahoma and her children Kim Frank, Kyvin Beaver, Chuck Beaver, Festus, Aaron and Samantha Dooley and children and grandchildren, sister Patricia Barnes of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and her two sons David and Warren and their children. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Vietta Duff and two sons Ira Loyd Duff and Robin Leon Duff.
