Doris Martin went to be with her Lord Saturday September 26, 2015 at the Southern Oaks Care Center with her loving family by her side. Doris Martin was born in Pawnee, OK to Charles and Ethel Lee Myers on December 2, 1929. Doris attended Lone Jack School until eighth grade and then went to Pawnee High School graduating in 1947.  She attended college for 2 ½ years at Oklahoma A&M (Oklahoma State University). Doris became a member of the First Baptist Church in Pawnee, OK in 1952 and attended church there until her health prevented otherwise. She married Henry Martin on August 31, 1952.  They recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. In October 1964, Doris began working for the District Attorney at the Pawnee County Courthouse and continued working there until her retirement on July 1, 1994.  In 1988, she was honored as being voted Outstanding District Attorney's Secretary. She is survived by her husband, Henry Martin of the home, four children and their spouses; Gene (Treva) Martin Pawnee, OK, Mary Ann (Jerry) Boyer, Newkirk, OK, Larry (Sheila) Martin, Pawnee, OK and Shirley (Randy) Deason, Chouteau, OK, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two brothers; Charles (Minnie Lou) Myers and Bob (Sue) Myers. Doris was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Jim Myers. Services were held Tuesday 10:00 A.M. September 29, 2015 at the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel, internment followed at the Masham Cemetery in Masham, Oklahoma. Services were under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
