E. Geraldine Mitchell

Geraldine Mitchell, 84, entered into rest with her Lord, Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born to Robert Wheatley and Brucella Waller Wheatley on July 19, 1937, at Ralston, Oklahoma.

She spent her early years with her family in the rural community of Masham, Oklahoma. She attended Victor School, a rural school located at the corner of S.H. 18 and the Masham Road. She attended Pawnee High School, graduating in 1955.

Geraldine attended the Hillcrest School of Nursing, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Immediately following graduation in August, 1958, she was employed as a RN at Pawnee Hospital.

She married her High School Sweetheart, Jake Mitchell, on September 13, 1958. Upon his graduation from Oklahoma State University, he became an engineer for Phillips Oil Company. They lived in various states. After his retirement, they made their home in Longview, Texas, where Geraldine resided until her death.

Geraldine was preceded in death by husband, Jake Mitchell. Her parents, Robert and Brucella Wheatley, and two brothers, Leroy and Henry Wheatley.
