Florene Green

Florene Green was born on August 31, 1932 to James D. Osborn and Willella McDow Osborn in Okemah, Oklahoma.

She the oldest of nine children born to this union. Her mother, father and three siblings proceeded her in death. She

attended elementary school in Okfuskee County and attended high school in Boley, OK.

At an early age Florene join the Bell Chapel Baptist Church, in Okemah, Ok. Her membership was later moved to the

Goodwill Baptist Church, in IXL, OK.


1982 Florene married David Green and move to Pawnee, OK. She and David later joined the First Baptist Church where she attended until her health failed.


Florene was employed for several years at Blue Bell Manufacturing Plant in Okemah, OK, and retired from the Pawnee Municipal Hospital.

Florene departed this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of thirty-seven years, David, her six children: Linda Johnson, Houston, TX; Sylvester Jones Jr., Pawnee, OK; Susan Grizzard (Manuel), Edmond, OK; Leroy Jones, Oklahoma City, OK; Willella Pauley, Oklahoma City, OK; Glen Dell Jones, Stillwater, OK. Two brothers, J.D. Osborn Jr., Okemah, OK; Eugene Osborn (Lillie); Oklahoma City, OK. Five sisters, Ruthie King, Oklahoma City, OK; Joanna Farris, San Jose, CA; Dorothy O. Winston, Forest Park, OK; Shirley Thompson, Garden City, MI, Jewell Jackson (Noble), Edmond, OK. Fifteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
