Gary Lyn Kloxin passed from this life to his heavenly reward surrounded by family at his Stillwater home on March 26, 2020.
He was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on April 6, 1943 to Gerald and Mary Lynne Kloxin. He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Candace Kloxin of Stillwater, OK, three sons and daughters in-law, Greg and Melody Kloxin of Guthrie, OK, Michael and Fairlight Kloxin of Summerville, South Carolina, Jarrett and Lori Kloxin of Stillwater, OK, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and one sister, Vicki Erdmann of Schofield, Wisconsin.
Gary was raised in Pawnee, Oklahoma and graduated from Pawnee High School. Upon graduation, Gary attended Wayland Baptist College and then went to Okmulgee Tech where he graduated with an automotive mechanics focus. Gary and Candy were married at the First Baptist Church of Pawnee on June 13, 1964. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy Submarine Program in October of 1968 and specialized in occupational service as a Nuclear Power Operator. Gary was assigned to the USS Will Rogers nuclear submarine where he served three of his six years while in the Navy. Upon discharge, he ran a mechanic and body shop in Pawnee for several years. In 1976, Gary continued his line of civil service by being accepted into the Oklahoma Highway Patrol academy and upon graduation was stationed to Noble County, serving out of the Perry area for six years. Gary switched careers to enter the north Noble county oilfield as a pumper/gauger for six years. Gary spent the last 17 years of his work career at Charles Machine Works in Perry, Oklahoma where he served as a lead person in the maintenance department. Gary also served eight years on the city council of Perry, OK.
Gary attended New Covenant Fellowship in Stillwater, Oklahoma for 24 years. His legacy is one of hard work, integrity, faithfulness to his family, and an ever diligent witness of the goodness of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
