James Earl Lasater

James "Jimmy" Earl Lasater passed away on January 6, 2019 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 75. Jimmy was born December 12, 1943 in Maramec, Oklahoma to Earl Raymond "Skeet" and Mary Velma (Niccum) Lasater, he was raised and schooled in the Maramec area, Jimmy started his career in the oil business at age 18 with Beach Oil Co. pulling wells, at age 23 he was an operator for dirt wells in Western Oklahoma. Later he and Ronnie Buntin when into business together doing Roustabout Services and driving tanker trucks. At 62 years old Jimmy went to work for Pawnee County driving trucks. Jimmy loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and loved riding his when he had the time. Jimmy had two special friends his dogs Smokey and Skipper. Jimmy will be missed by all who knew him.
Services will be graveside Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the I.O.O.F. Maramec Cemetery with Senior Adult Minister Chan Ray officiating. Services were entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services, friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
