Marjorie Irene Fuss

Marjorie Irene Fuss was born on April, 24th 1927 in Quay Oklahoma to John Grover Cleveland Simmons and Lucinda Belle Witham Simmons. Marjorie married the love of her life, George B Fuss on June 12, 1949 in Yale Oklahoma. Shortly after being married, George and Margie moved to the township of Lone Chimney, Oklahoma to start a farm, family, and wonderful life together. They also attended Lone Chimney Church from the time they moved there until their passing. On June 10th 1961, Marjorie gave birth to her only child, a daughter, Linda Darlene Fuss that both George and Margie loved and adored more than words can express. On any given day you could find the three of them feeding the cows and horses, fixing fence, or tinkering in the barn. Marjorie loved to be outside with her family helping with the farm chores, but she also loved being a wife and mother. Making sure that her family was always fed and well cared for. Margie spent her days soaking in the beauty of God's splendor at their home in Lone Chimney caring for herfamily and her cows, horses, sheep, bunny rabbits, puppy dogs, and just about anything else Linda may happen home from the sale barn with. These things are what made her happy and how she filled her days. Her family will always cherish the times that they would walk into her home and no matter the time of day, Marjorie would be the first to offer something to each of them. If you were lucky enough to be there at suppertime she could be heard saying, "do you want a bite of my dinner? I'll certainly share with you." Before offering them half of her seat to set on with her.

Marjorie also shared a special relationship with her sister, Imogene Belle, whom she was able to spend much of her time with as well. Later in life, Imogene and Marjorie were even able to live together and take care of one another. They enjoyed taking trips to town to go to the grocery store or the bank or the pharmacy. Never missing their opportunity to go to Brau ms for a hamburger and french fries thatthey all enjoyed very much!
