Marvin Warren

Cecil "Marvin" Warren was born on December 4, 1934 in Billings,  Oklahoma to Albert Warren and Oletha Jividen Warren.  He passed from this life on January 28, 2016 in Pawnee Oklahoma, having reached the age of 81 years, 1 month and 24 days. Marvin married Lola Lynn on February 14, 1955 in Pawnee.  This Valentine's Day would have been their 61st Anniversary. In 1961, they moved to Rupert Idaho and from there to Sunnyside Washington, then back to Rupert.  In 1972, they moved back to Pawnee, Oklahoma. Marvin became an ordained minister in October of 1966. His jobs included Minister; Carpenter which included carpentry at Connors Correctional Center; he worked for Stillwater Parks and Recreation & the Pawnee County Sheriff's Office. His hobbies included hunting, horseback riding, fishing, animals, anything to do with the outdoors. Marvin loved his wife, his kids and grandkids and his farm. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. Marvin is survived by:His wife Lola Warren, of the home Two sons, Dennis Warren, and his wife Jody of Pawnee, David Warren and wife Sharon, of Stillwater. Two daughters:  Donna Bruce and husband Charlie of Pawnee, Deloris Ehlers and husband Neal of Garber. Eight grandchildren:  Kimberly Banks and husband Brent from Pawnee, April Moles and husband Nathan of Pawnee, Jerry Bruce of Stillwater, Alan Bruce and wife Kendra of Skedee, Colt Foreman of Garber, Sierra Foreman of Garber, Hunter Ehlers of Garber, Kellan Ehlers of Perry, Nine great-grandchildren: Dalton Warren of Pawnee, Marah and Bailee Banks of Pawnee, Brandi, J.W. and Beau Buchanan of Pawnee, Preston, Trey and Elizabeth Bruce of Skedee, plus numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends .Marvin was preceded in death by his parents:  Albert and Oletha Warren, Infant Son: Darrell Les 6 brothers:  Albert Lee, Jack, Gene, Roscoe, Dell and Dee Warren Three sisters; Rena Cook, Bessie Doleze-Martin and Helen Gates, his mother and father in law: Dennis and Grace Lynn, two grandsons:  Charles Preston III "Trey" Bruce and Will Buchanan. Services will be held on Monday, February 1st, 2016, 10 a.m. in the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel. David Warren and Les Washnock officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Ok. Services were entrusted to the Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
