Morris Lynn Mckill

Morris Lynn McKill was born May 12, 1947 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Floyd L. McKill and Irene Bell (Kistler) McKill. He was raised on their ranch in rural Pawnee County and attended school in Blackburn until high school, graduating from Pawnee in 1965. He attended Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelor of Agricultural Education Degree.
Morris married Claudie Ann (Alley) McKill on December 8, 1967 in Blackburn, Oklahoma. The couple made their initial home in Pawnee the first year, moving to the family ranch in 1969 where they remained for the entirety of their marriage, fifty-three years. They share a daughter, Callie McKill and granddaughter, Ridley McKill.
Morris worked at the Pawnee County Courthouse and Cimarron Turnpike as a toll attendant before accepting a position at First National Bank of Pawnee where he spent the remainder of his 40-year career. He touched the lives of many people and was always willing to lend help to those in need. He enjoyed many close friendships throughout his lifetime but always put family first.

He was most content in the mountains of Colorado. His favorite pastime was spending time with “his girls”, Claudie Ann, Callie and Ridley. He particularly enjoyed playing with his granddaughter Ridley, cheering her on at her activities and teaching her the ropes on the ranch. They were an inseparable pair.
