Ruth Irene Timmons

Ruth Irene Timmons went to be with her lord and savior February 15, 2018 at the Southern Oaks Care Center in Pawnee with her loving family by her side.

Ruth was born May 24, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Frank and Lillie (Dustin) Shane, Ruth married Roy Alfred Timmons in Yuma, Arizonia in 1941, Roy worked for National Seal in California, the family moved to Washington State for ten years and then to Florida for a number of years, but in 1991 the family moved to Pawnee. Roy passed away in 1996 after the happy couple had 56 years of marriage. Ruth loved to garden especially flowers and vegetables, she loved to sew and crochet, times of visiting her neighbors and friends. Ruth loved her family and cherished the time spent with each loved one. Ruth will be missed by all who knew and loved her

Ruth leaves to cherish her memories, one son; Leroy Walter Timmons of Eagles, Alaska, three daughters; Irene Millie Turner of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Violet Mae Kummet of Elgin, Illinois, and Barbara Ann Timmons of Pawnee, Oklahoma. Grand Children; Paul, Sara, Lorie, Loria, Lona, Wayne, Kyle, Linda, Jimmy, Eddie, Shelia, Ernie, Rick, Tammy, Roy, and Kasey. Twenty great grand children, and ten great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters; Louise, Lucille, Mildred, Alfred, Roberta and Betty, and three brothers and sisters who died in infancy.

Services will be held Wednesday 2:00 P.M. Graveside Highland Cemetery Pawnee, with Dennis Warren officiating. Services were entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
