Shirley Jane Slavens

Shirley Slavens was born October 12th, 1950 and deceased September 10th, 2018.

Shirley grew up in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She attended school at Lone Jack and Pawnee.

She will be most remembered for her beautiful smile and her Love for her family and friends and her love of her pets especially Roscoe.

Shirley moved to Morrison, OK from Pawnee in 1987 where she resided until her passing. Morrison became her family. She worked at the Lil Country Express for many years.

Shirley and Karl Slavens were married January 27th, 1998.

Shirley is survived by her husband Karl Slavens of the home Morrison, Oklahoma, Daughter: Libby & her husband Jay Rose of Morrison, OK; Son : Rodney Earl Ricketts of Shidler, OK; Son: Kenan & wife Christy Newport of Stillwater, OK; Son: Aaron Newport of Arkansas; Son: Samuel Newport of Sand Springs, OK; Nephew: Leslie & wife Dawn Ingram of Morrison, OK; Niece: Tina Ingram of Morrison, OK

Grandchildren: Mark & Brandi McCormack; Cody & Kylee Blair; Bruce Prewitt & Katrina Ricketts; Kenna Rose; Cody Rose; Asher & Adelynn Newport; Eli, Zeke, Abbie & Anna Newport. As well as 12 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mary & Eddie Waggoner; Brother Jimmyu waggoner; Son Justin Newport; Sister & Brother –in-law; Mary Ann & Roscoe Ingram; 2 Grandsons: Howard & Branden Ricketts.
