Virgil Leon Cravens

Virgil L. Cravens, age 90 of Fairfax OK, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa OK.

Virgil was born on November 13, 1931 in Longdale OK, son of Kenneth and Ruby Cravens. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 35 years, Carlene J. Cravens and a brother, Raphael Cravens.

Virgil is survived by three daughters; LaDonna Lehman (David) of Bartlesville OK, Brenda Alexander (Mike) of League City TX and Debbie O’Bleness of Kingwood TX; six grandchildren, Kyle Kadwell of Bartlesville OK, Emma Alexander of LaMarque TX, Cole Alexander of Kyle TX, Dillon O’Bleness, Dalton O’Bleness and Marshall O’Bleness of Kingwood TX; four great-grandchildren, Daden Kadwell, Keegan Kadwell and Samiaa Yahola of Bartlesville OK, and Scout Alexander-Ramirez of Kyle TX; two brothers, Leo Cravens of Eufala OK and Clarence Cravens (Linda) of Fairview OK; and one sister, Treva Bedwell (Von) of Corpus Christi TX.

Virgil graduated from Longdale High School in 1949. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern State College in Weatherford OK in 1953. Virgil served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He enjoyed a 37 year career with Conoco as an Accountant in Ponca City OK and Lodi CA. Virgil was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying golf, gardening, farming, and playing with his grandchildren. He loved animals, gaming, and his community.

Virgil was a friend to all and will be missed.
