Virginia Mae Horsechief

Virginia Mae (Riding In) HorseChief passed away Saturday at her home with her loving family by her side. Virginia was born January 20, 1926 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Frank and Ethel (Wilson) Riding In. Virginia married Daniel HorseChief in Tulsa March 19, 1947 the happy couple  were married almost 50 years at the time of Daniel's passing. After residing more than 30 years in Tulsa the couple moved to the Cushing area. Virginia was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Virginia leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons; Barry HorseChief, Gary HorseChief one daughter Dana Sue Ashlock, five grand children, and three great grand children, and one sister Marlene Mameah. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel HorseChief, daughter Donna Roop, three brothers Frank Riding In Jr., Bob Riding In, Cecil Riding In Sr. and granddaugher Cheryl Lambert. Services are Wednesday 2:00 P.M. February 17, 2016 in the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Pratt officiating, internment will follow at the South Indian Cemetery.
