Albert Ezekiel Alley was the first born son to Joe David and Winnie Ridley Alley. He was born on November 28th, 1928 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. He passed away on January 27th, 2017 in Pawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 88. Albert attended Pawnee Public Schools and met the love of his life Violet "Muggsy" Cox. They graduated Pawnee High School and married on October 2nd, 1948. During this marriage they had four children, sons, David and wife Nielda, Steve and wife Hele, Lee and wife Rita and daughter, Robin and husband Curtis. They had 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Albert was known for being an all-around man and an active member of the community. He was elected to the Pawnee Board of Education in February of 1964 and served for 31 years. He set the standard for school board members across the state. He also served as a county committee member for the Farm Service Agency for many years. He was recognized as the Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo Honoree in 2003. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Pawnee, where he served as a deacon and an elder. Throughout Albert's life he worked in the oildfield, was a building contractor, farmer and rancher. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his dog Jane. Albert is survived by his children and grandchildren, brothers, Joe Dale, Don Allen and wife JoAnn, David Carl and wife Deloris, and sister, Claudia Ann McKill and husband Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Violet Ann, sister, Verna Heisler and granddaughter, Jeana Dee Alley.Services will be held Tuesday, January 31st at 2 o'clock at the First Christian Church in Pawnee, Oklahoma. The interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
