Barbara Ann Shearman departed this earth Tuesday evening, November 24, 2015 in Fayetteville, Arkansas with her family at her bedside. Barbara was born January 4, 1939 in Centrahoma, Oklahoma to Leo and Emma (Boddy) Crane. Barbara was the granddaughter of Mae Myrtle Wallace Crane, an original enrollee of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She attended school in Centrahoma, Oklahoma where she enjoyed playing basketball along with her sister Sally. She married Arnold Neal Shearman on July 2, 1955 and was married 50 years. Barbara has resided south of Salt Creek in Payne County, Oklahoma for 38 years where she did the Rural Water District #3 billing for over 20 years. Arnold and Barbara planted pecan trees in 1980 which provided her abundant shade and plenty of nuts for pies that she enjoyed baking. Her hobbies included "going to music" with friends, dancing, cooking, and researching family genealogy. Watching David Page coach Pawnee and Yale basketball was also a favorite pastime for her. Arnold and Barbara's dog Winnie was a sidekick of hers up til she went to heaven a couple of years ago. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Arnold, a daughter Joy Hippe, Leo and Emma Crane, Barney and Christine Shearman, Betty and David Briscoe, and John Shearman. Barbara has left to cherish her memories her son Danny Shearman and wife Jeri of Sutherland, Nebraska; her daughter Angela Raso with husband Tom of Kaw City; Oklahoma, her daughter Jennifer Rhodes with husband Russell of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brother Don Crane of Molene, Illinois; sister Sally Grubbs with husband John of Coolidge, Arizona; sister Paula Zeek with husband Brad of Casa Grande, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren, other relatives, and a host of friends.
