Betty J. Sewell

Betty Jo Brooks Sewell, 88, of south Oklahoma City, passed away Monday November 3, 2025, in the early morning hours. She was a resident of Legends of Rivendell. She was the youngest daughter of Georgia and Tollie Brooks. She had a sister Barb and a brother John. Betty Jo was born in Crescent, OK, on August 10, 1937. Attended Crescent High School. Church and her faith were always very important to her. She met and married Don Stalder whom she believed was the spitting image of Frank Sinatra and the result of that union was three children: Cyndy Spears, married to David, and they have two daughters: Lindsay Ebenhack of Duncan and Rachel Talasaz of Atlanta Ga. Lindsay is married to Jason, and they have three children: Macy, Kinsey, and Noah. Rachel is married to Afsheen. Sterling Stalder, his wife Kathy of Oklahoma City. Sterling and Kathy have two sons: Haydn, Nathan; and daughter: Caroline. Caroline is married to Nick, and they have three children: Daniel, Henri, Anne Lisa, and they reside in The Netherlands. Lynda Stalder of Dallas and has three children. Alaithia lives in Austin with her husband, Chad. They have one daughter, Verity. Dauren lives in Chicago with her husband Mark. And son Avery. As mentioned before, Betty’s faith was very important, as well as her furry friends. Betty was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, friend, and pet lover. Betty will be sorely missed by all! Seth, her Yorkie, remained her loyal companion until the end. A prayer service is scheduled for Friday November 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Pawnee Funeral home, followed by a graveside service at the Pawnee cemetery, where Betty Jo will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Oscar Sewell, to whom she was married in 1982 until his death in 1991.
