Bryce Pickering

Marshall “Bryce” Pickering, born in Perry, OK on November 5, 1950 to Harry Pickering Sr. and Theresa Tohee Pickering. He was a proud Otoe member.


He attended primary school at Diamond Laird and graduated from Pawnee High School, Class of 1970. He then attended Haskell Indian Nations University. He served in the Army, 82nd Airborne, stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.


He married Gwen Wichita on December 28, 1973 and they were blessed with two daughters Tara Pickering and Marsha Pickering both of Pawnee. Bryce is also survived by his grandchildren Tyler Lee, Briana Deann and Sylas River all of Pawnee; his sisters Norma Jean Tohee of Red Rock and Billie Ann Tohee of Perkins; brother Ken Tohee of New Mexico and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other relatives and friends.


Bryce had various hobbies but his family was always his first priority and greatest accomplishment. He was a proud supporter of the Pawnee Black Bear teams as well as OU and attended as many sporting events as he could. In addition to attending sporting events, he loved to travel and attend pow-wows but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.


Bryce is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vernon “Sonny” Tohee, Harry David, David Roger and Harry Jr; Sisters Burba, Clarice and Kathy.
