Donald Emory White passed from this life on December 30, 2015 in Tulsa Oklahoma having reached the age of 84 years and 4 days. Donald was born to Maude White Chisholm on December 26, 1931 in Pawnee Oklahoma. Donald was a kind-hearted easy going man, he never was in a hurry to get anything done and always hummed or sang a little tune while doing what he enjoyed. He was an avid gardener he loved sitting outside with his ice cold dr. pepper and watching everything around him. In his early years Donald worked at a local golf course as a greens keeper and then a taxi driver in Oklahoma City. Donald was always willing to volunteer his time to help out family and friends especially at his church Glorietta Baptist Church. He showed a lot of support for his Pawnee people and relatives. He was always in attendance for dances and other tribal functions and never missed a family event and always showered the children with gifts and candy on every visit. Donald also enjoyed sneaking away to Remington Park to watch the races, he often attended basketball games, he loved to travel and he liked to build model airplanes. He took care of his mother and they traveled many places together. In his later years Donald made a lot of new friends at his residence in Cleveland Oklahoma. He was a man of humor and was easy to get along with. Donald is survived by his grandson Jake Leading Fox and family of the home in Cleveland, OK. A host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and many other relatives. Donald was proceeded in death by his mother Maude White Chisholm; his grandparents Rebecca Moses White and Barclay White; aunts Lucy White Pratt, Hazel White Pratt, Gertie Clark and Minnie Moses Horsechief; and uncles Lester White, Curtis White, James White and Henry White.Funeral Services will be held at 10 am at the Roam Chief Event Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the North Indian Cemetery in Pawnee Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
