Emma Lee (Marrs) Tucker

Emma Lee (Marrs) Tucker passed away on August 12, 2026. Her funeral service will be held at Poteet Funeral Home Chapel. Emma was born in Pawnee on October 26, 1929, to George Harry Marrs and Mary Callie (Martin) Marrs, the second of six children. She attended and graduated from Pawnee High School.

Emma married Jerry Tucker, Jr of Skedee on February 22, 1947, in Winfield, KS. They were blessed with three sons: Eddie, Steven, and Gary. She attended the Methodist church in Skedee as it was home until 1997, when they moved to Pawnee.

Being a farm wife was a full-time job, but one she cherished with all her heart. She loved the outdoors and the peace and quiet that the natural world brought to her and always had time to thank the good Lord for all his blessings.

Emma loved fixing dinners for all the families and having them home. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, and fishing with the family. She helped the boys with their projects when they were in 4-H. She belonged to the White Rose Extension Club, appreciating all new ideas that would help the family.

A blessing she was thankful for was to get to be with all the grandchildren growing up– going to all of their events when possible. Watching all the great-grandchildren was a joy.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband in 2012, her parents, her siblings Wilma Mullinax, Louise Bishop, Lucillie Rumsey, Garland Marrs, and George Marrs. Surviving are sons Verlyn Edward (Eddie) and LeAnna Tucker of Oklahoma City, Steven Wayne and Becky Tucker of Edmond, and Gary Dale Tucker of Pawnee, six grandchildren Bryan and Shannon Tucker, Angela and Brad Smith, Caryn and Mike Brock, Gary and Jennifer Tucker, Chad and Christina Tucker, and Lauren and Bren Leete, 21 great-grandchildren, eight great great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren Allison and Sean Baggott, and Lindsay and Jeffery DeLong, seven step great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Poteet Funeral Home Chapel on August 18, 2026 at 1 p.m.. Emma will be interred at Highland Cemetery
