Harold Albert Wheeler born December 18, 1938 to Marion Olin and Mabelle May (Heinis) Wheeler in Lime, Colorado. Harold was loving husband, father, step-dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2025. Harold always had a wonderful sense of humor. In his past, he was an excellent marksman in the ROTC And Air Force as well as a medic and pilot. He was also a truck driver, mortician's helper, avid hunter and fisherman, policeman, railroad and steel mill worker, construction worker and foreman, gardener, and minister/reverend. He always grew the most beautiful vegetable garden and roses of all sorts. He was a skilled wood worker and built this church as well as the parsonage. He was a wonderful artist who had work commissioned for museums. He was an architect who not only drew building plans but also created patterned water fowl and other designs for the Anadarko and Pawnee Tribes of Oklahoma.
Harold retired from the Methodist Church Ministry after serving congregations in South Coffeyville, Fletcher, Rush Springs, Turpin, and the Prison Ministry of Lawton. Harold and Joyce recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Survived by: wife Joyce Wheeler of Glencoe; daughter, Carla Wehr (Dennis) of Coyle; son, Lynn Scrogum (Jessica) of Morrison; daughter Chris Atkins (Alfred) of Glencoe; grand children - Shayne Doll (Carly) of Mustang; Tonya Zamora (Hugo) of Guthrie; Tiffany Doll (Bryan Billings) of Edmond; Dustin Stokes (Stephanie) of Glencoe; Kyle Stokes of Glencoe; Jacqualyn Heinrich of Tonkawa; Julia Atkins of Glencoe; Rebekah O'Neill (Sean) of Broken Arrow; Aaron Scrogum (Sage Noelle) of Carney; Dakota Wilson of Morrison; Heather Sypert (Cutter) of Clarksville, Tennessee. Great-grandchildren - Chance, Caleb, and Cooper Stokes, Brayden and Jagger Stokes, Allie and Austin Heinrich, Danna Atkins, Rhylynn Garcia, Blayne and Peyton Doll, Kaydence and Maci Billings, Baylea and Gabriel Zamora, Brooklyn, Madilynn, Kinsleigh, and Brinleigh O'Neill, Paislee and Dakota Wilson; family friends - Nathan and Mary Spaulding & Martha Tollerson; and numerous friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members.
Preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Mabelle, brothers Chuck & Roy, In-laws Lee & Mittie Morse, eldest daughter, Laura Stokes, granddaughter Melody Stokes, great-grandson Maverick Stokes, and grandson in-law Justin Heinrich.
