Jack William Day Sr.

Jacky William Day was born on February 1st, 1934 in Blackburn, Oklahoma. He went to be with his lord and savior on Monday November 9, 2015 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Jack was the son of Cecil and Mayme Swopes Day. Jack joined the U.S. Navy in 1953 and served until 1960 on the Salisbury Sound Navy ship.He married Helen Calkins Elliott on October 18th, 1964. They enjoyed 45 years together until her passing on April 7th, 2010.Jack spent most of his adult life as a self-employed mechanic and business owner. He is survived by his daughter Mayme Day and her children Alyson Posey, Alex Larsen and Amber Montgomery, his son Jack Day and wife Melissa, his sons Joshua Day, Jordan Day and daughter Peyton Day. Jack's step-children Jody Southern and husband Dennis and daughter Monica Groce, Ken Elliott and his children Kendra, Kaci and Drake, Glen Elliott and wife Robin and their children Matthew, Khristopher, and Rachel Archer. Ben Elliott and wife Dawn and children Nick, Trent, Cole, Maci, Chrysta, Lindsie and Emily. Great Grandchildren are Zane, Bryson, Daniel, Mialee, Conner, Carter and Jonathon.Jack is preceded in death by his wife Helen Day, parents Cecil and Mayme Day and his two brothers Cecil Jr. and Bill Day.
