Jeffery Douglas Adams passed away from this life on February 21, 2025 at his home in Cleveland, Oklahoma
Jeff was born on October 7, 1946 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Simond “SD” and Virginia “Tunie” Adams. Jeff grew up and attended school in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and graduated in 1964, receiving several awards and honors throughout his school years. Jeff played high school football, baseball, basketball, and enjoyed fishing with his father. Jeff proudly served his country in the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper in the United States Army being honorably discharged in 1968. Jeff was a pipeliner traveling all over the United States. He retired as a pipeline superintendent with Henkels and McCoy. Jeff was a proud member of Local Union 798. Jeff was united in marriage to Joyce Joan Williams on April 14, 1988 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Jeff’s work sent him on many travels throughout the years. He was a hardworking man, charismatic, and devoted to his family. Jeff enjoyed taking yearly family vacations to 30A, Florida, camping and cook outs in Mannford, and the Adams family Christmas Eve tradition. He loved watching the grandkids play sports, always making the travel no matter how far, cheering on the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the Cleveland Tigers, and the Kiefer Trojans. Jeff was known by all for his signature laugh, and he never met a stranger.
Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Joyce of the home, four children, Jack Siler and wife Shelley, Brent Adams and wife Amanda, Jill Hayward and husband Dale, and Hayley Krotzer and husband Grant; grandchildren, Justin Siler and wife Samantha, Jake Adams, Jenna McGinnis and husband Noah, Luke Adams, Will Adams, Elle Adams, Harper Krotzer, and Bracken Krotzer; great grandson, Joel Siler; sister, Denise Adams Grovey and husband Don; nephew, Ken McSorley and wife Sherry; great nephews, Collin and Cade McSorley, and a host of other relatives and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Simond and Virgina Adams. Services will be held Monday 10:00 A.M. February 24, 2025 in the Pawnee Nation Roam Chief Event Center with Rev. Jordan Kanuho officiating, burial will follow in the North Indian Cemetery.
