Jim Wayne Price

Jim Price passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026. He was 69 years old.

Jim was born on December 11, 1956 to Bill R. and Betty A. Price. He was raised in Lela and graduated from Morrison High School. He was active in football and FFA and was awarded a State Farmers Degree in May 1975.

Jim married his high school sweetheart Diana Schlehuber on May 28, 1976. They shared an extraordinary love and celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Jim farmed and ranched before going to work at Pawnee County Dist. 1 as a machine operator for 25 years. He also worked for Elsie Murphy evenings and weekends helping her with the farm.

Jim was predeceased by his parents Bill and Betty Price, nephew Justin Price, in-laws Jerri and Elmer Branson and Leroy and Mary Schlehuber. He is survived by wife Diana, son Jason, daughter Jaime, grandchildren Alex, Aaron and wife Kyle, and T.J. He is also survived by brothers Larry and Gary, and his much beloved sister Jane and husband Ron. Jane and Ron could always lift his spirits, make him laugh and spoil him with sweet treats.

The family would like to say a most heart felt Thank You to Southern Oaks. Everyone there in every department took such great care of Jim and Diana. They became family to us.

Services are entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 14 at 2:00 at Poteet Funeral Home.
