Lewis F. "Sonny" Richardson

November 23, 1934 — February 6, 2018

Lewis F. "Sonny" Richardson, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior in Cushing, Oklahoma with his loving family at his side. Sonny was born in Skedee, Oklahoma on November 23, 1934 to Kenneth and Georgia (Callison) Richardson, Sonny attended grade school in Skedee and then graduated Blackburn High School in 1952. In 1955 Sonny met and married the love of his life Mary Lou Crocker in the First Christian Church in Pawnee. Sonny worked in the oilfield until the family moved to Arizona and Sonny joined the Local Union 428 of Operating Engineers, he started as a Heavy Equipment Operator but continued to be promoted until he was in charge of many large Construction Projects. Sonny retired in 1990 with some health issues and the family moved to Cushing. Sonny loved his family and loved to attend his children's and grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events, he loved to fish and boat and watch the Thunder and the Oklahoma Sooners play.

Sonny leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of more than 62 years Mary Lou of the home, son; L. Tracey Richardson and wife Clara of Cushing, Oklahoma, daughter; Jo Lynn Marquez of Jacksonville, Arkansas, four grandchildren; Joshua Villegas of Edmond, Oklahoma, Jamie Richardson of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Tisha Hadley and husband Chris of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Brandon Gallardo of Tucson, Arizona. Three great grandchildren; Paxton Pitchford of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Kendra Villegas of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Kamden Hadley of Jacksonville, Arkansas, two brothers; Jake Richardson of Dexter, Kansas, Kendall Richardson and wife LeRhonda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Letha Dean, son in law; Eddie Marquis, sister in law; Lois Richardson and stepmother; Dorthy P. Richardson.

Services were held Saturday 1:00 P.M. February 10, 2018 in the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel with Kendall Richardson officiating, internment followed in the Highland Cemetery. Services were entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends can leave a memory for the family at
