Mollie Ann Rice Davidson, age 88, of Pawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in her hometown of Pawnee.
Mollie was born on February 21, 1937, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to Robert P. Rice and Christine Hand Rice. She was a proud, full-blood member and elder of the Pawnee Nation.
She attended Pawnee Indian Boarding School and later Haskell Indian Junior College. In her early adult years, Mollie worked as a seamstress and later served her community as a Title VI cook for the Pawnee Nation, a role she took great pride in.
Mollie was married to Roger Skeen, whose military service took them overseas for a time, and later to Wayne Davidson. Through these years, Mollie lived in several places, including Kansas City, Missouri, though Pawnee always remained home.
She was the mother of Dan, Lolita, Phil, Robert, Cheryl Sue, JoAnne, Launita, Gregg, Harvey and Michael.
Mollie was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Christine Rice; her sisters Sharon, Wanda, and Rebecca; her brothers Dennis, Robert, Lawrence, and Herb; and her sons Dan, Robert and daughter Cheryl Sue.
She is survived by her brother, Keller Rice; her daughters Lolita Hensley, JoAnne Thompson and Launita Carroll; her sons Phil Williams, Gregg Price, Harvey and Michael Hyatt; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren all of whom were important to her.
Mollie enjoyed spending time with friends and was an avid bingo player, a pastime she continued to enjoy until just weeks before her passing. Those who knew her remember her as social, humorous, and deeply rooted in her community.
Mollie passed surrounded by family, and her loved ones take comfort in their faith that she is now at peace.
