Preston Levi Mulder

Preston Levi Mulder, of Pawnee, OK was born Thursday, September 9, 2010, to Megan Mulder. He left this Earth on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 15 years, 9 months and 3 days.

At 6 months old, Preston began attending Pawnee’s Early Head Start program, where he met many of his lifelong friends. Preston played sports throughout his school years including football, track, baseball and most importantly basketball. As a part of the graduating Class of 2029, he had just completed his freshman year of high school, began playing with the varsity basketball team, qualified for regionals in track for shot put, and attended his first prom. He was proud to be a Pawnee Black Bear.

Preston’s ‘best buddy,’ Papa Stew, introduced him to riding horses at an early age and he always enjoyed riding in the Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo parade. They would also enjoy watching OU football, Thunder basketball, and fishing together any chance they could get.

Preston loved being a brother more than anything else in this world. He was also the biggest momma’s boy you could ever imagine. His love for his mother and sister was unmatched.

He was proud of his Native American heritage. Preston was a member of the Osage Nation and a descendant of the Pawnee Nation.

Preston will be remembered for his wittiness, his ability to light up any room he walked into, his kindness, loyalty, compassion, and generosity beyond his years.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Megan Mulder, and sister, Audrey Mulder of Pawnee, OK; little brother Logan Rice of Enid, OK; maternal grandparents Gary & Jennifer (Mulder) Stewart of Pawnee; his aunt Ashley Mulder of Stillwater, OK; his uncle Nick Mulder-Shields of Stillwater, OK; his uncle Trey Stewart and cousins Amaya & Maliyah Stewart all of Oklahoma City, OK; great grandparents Donna Mulder of Cushing, OK, Fred Robinson of Stillwater, OK and Lynn & Sue Kelley of Pawnee, OK and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, his Pawnee Black Bear teammates, coaches and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Patrick Shields; great grandmother, Katherine Stewart; great grandmother Kathy Robinson; great aunt Lacota Attocknie; great uncle Marion CreepingBear; and uncle Anakin CreepingBear.

Preston will be greatly missed.
