Tamera Renee Hawkins was born March 25, 1985, and passed away February 3rd, 2026, at the age of 40.
Tamera graduated from Byng High School in Byng, Oklahoma, and later completed Cleet Training in Drumright, aspiring to be a police officer. She was known for her strong work ethic and often worked multiple jobs at once. She stayed busy and liked it that way.
She was a citizen of the Pawnee Nation-Kitkehaki Band and a descendant of the Ponca and Otoe-Missouria Tribes. Tamera loved attending the Native American Church.
She had no children of her own but poured her love into her nieces and nephews, who meant the world to her. Tamera also adored being a dog mom to her Yorkshire terrier, Kitsu. She loved music of all kinds, especially Elvis Presley, and had a love for the Disney character Stitch, often showing it off with her favorite Stitch socks. A devoted OU fan, she loved anything OU and especially enjoyed watching OU games with her dad, Joe Sr.
Tamera is survived by her mother Rebecca Hawkins; her brother Jon of Pawnee; her sister Ruth of Cushing; her nieces Sonja, Butterfly, Shaylynn, and Caitlyn; her nephews Triston, Jackson, Jordyn, Joe III, and Harrison; her grandson, Damien and her fianće Kendall Eaton of Skiatook. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Hawkins Sr.; her sisters, Rosalee and Sarah; and her brother, Joe Hawkins Jr.
