Thomas Eugene Bechtold formally of Morrison, OK went to be with his Lord and Savior August 1, 2016 at Arma Health and Rehab in Arma, Kansas. He was 90 years of age. Tom was born on June 27, 1926 in Hoisington, Ks. to Joseph and Ethel Bechtold. Graveside services were held at 10 am Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Morrison Cemetery with Pastor Irvin Haken officiating. After he received his schooling Tom entered the US Air Force and was a sharpshooter/marksman. His greatest joy while serving in the Air Force was assisting the Chaplain. After 9 years of serving his country in the military Tom spent over 20 years in the law enforcement. Thomas loved his family and leaves behind to mourn his death Charlotte (Jim) Denson, Rick Wagner, Ronnie (Tammy) Wagner, all of Arkansas City, Kansas, Penny (Jon) Kindlesparger of Fort Scott, Kansas and Debbie Mote of Morrison, Ok. along with 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and the wonderful staff of Arma Health and Rehab who lovingly took care of him. Preceeding him in death were his loving wife, Juanita, his parents, 2 brothers Joe & Ed, 2 sisters Irene & Virginia and his son-in-law Darrel Mote. A Chinese Proverb says: If you want happiness for an hour take a nap, if you want happiness for a day go fishing, if you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune, if you want happiness for a lifetime help someone else. Tom truly had happiness for his lifetime as he was always ready and willing to help someone.
